Semi-formal dress code for young men: Boys should wear dress slacks (no jeans or patched pocket pants), a collared dress shirt, tie, belt, and dress socks. Dyed/bleached hair is not permitted. Hair should be trimmed and styled appropriately. Semi-formal dress code for young ladies: Girls should wear skirts or dresses no shorter than two inches above the knee, including slits. The entire hem of the skirt must meet that requirement. (A helpful tip when shopping is to place an index card at your knee so that one edge of the card is at the middle crease of your knee and the top edge of the card is where the fabric of your dress starts.) Girls may also wear dress pants. Bare midriffs, tight-fitting outfits, strapless tops, open backs, plunging necklines, and low-cut tops are not allowed. Spaghetti straps and one-shoulder straps are allowed. Shoe guidelines (for the Homecoming dance only): Students may wear shoes appropriate to dancing on the concrete and turf. This includes dress shoes, loafers, canvas sneakers, dressy leather sneakers, and nice sandals. Shoes should be clean and match your outfit. Shoes NOT approved for Homecoming include: flipflops, slippers, clogs, water shoes, and Croc’s. No bare feet. *Student out of dress code will be asked to change at home and return. See more details •
