Caps and Gowns
Caps and gowns are ordered by the school for each graduate. The price of the cap and gown is included in the graduation fee. Sizes are selected when payment is submitted for the graduation fee. Cap and gown sizes, and payment, must be submitted no later than Friday, January 14, 2025.
Diploma Names
All senior parents must submit their scholar’s full legal name exactly as they’d like it to appear on their diploma by Friday, January 14, 2025. Diploma name submission is one step in the process of paying the graduation fee. Please do not use any nicknames and double check your spelling. Graduation Tickets
Great Hearts Northern Oaks does not sell tickets to graduation, and does not place a limit on the number of family and friends graduates invite. This is something that we want to preserve for our Senior families. The Graduation Fee helps offset the various costs of holding a Commencement ceremony and helps us keep the event ticket-free.
Senior Banquet
Each senior will be honored with a short speech from a faculty member. Please dress in your “Sunday Best” (suits and ties for gentlemen and semi-formal dresses for ladies). A meal will be provided for Seniors. For parents, tickets must be purchased (limit 2 per family). Formal invitations will be given to students with RSVP cards to return. Please be on the lookout for these to come home with your Senior.
Deadline to purchase tickets is Tuesday, April 1st.

Graduation Announcements and Invitations
Great Hearts Northern Oaks is pleased to offer official announcements for the Class of 2025. A minimum order is required. If the minimum is not reached, all orders will be given a refund. There is not an online order option. The button below will provide you with a printable order form.

Senior Walk
On May 20th, to celebrate the end of their Senior Year and the end of their schooling at Great Hearts Northern Oaks, seniors will don their caps and gowns and tour the entire campus as their Kindergarten-11th grade peers, the faculty and staff, line the hallways and cheer as they pass. The Senior Walk will be held during the school day. It will be livestreamed, and a professional videographer will capture the event to be shared with families.
Graduation Rehearsal
Graduation rehearsal will be held at Trinity Baptist Church at date and time to be announced (319 E Mulberry Ave, San Antonio, TX 78212). Seniors should bring their de-wrinkled graduation robes. Since dress shoes are required for the ceremony, we also encourage students to wear their graduation shoes to practice walking in them. This is especially helpful with new heels or heeled shoes up and down the stairs where students will receive their diploma.
Commencement
Saturday, May 31st

All candidates must arrive by 9:00 AM.
Commencement will begin promptly at 10:00 AM.
You are encouraged to arrive early to get a good seat! Doors open at 9am. All Seniors must arrive at the church by 9am to line up for the procession. The ceremony is ~1.5 hours, and many families choose to take pictures outside afterwards. If you are making plans for after the ceremony, you likely will not want to schedule them before 12:30-1pm.
